BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Antialkidas, circa 130-120 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 2.22 g, 12 h), Indian standard, uncertain mint in Paropamisadai or Gandhara. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΝΙΚΗΦΟΡΟΥ / ΑΝΤΙΑΛΚΙΔΟΥ Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antialkidas to right, wearing kausia. Rev. 'Maharajasa jayadharasa Amtialkidasa' (in Kharoshti) Zeus seated facing slightly to left, holding Nike in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, forepart of elephant left; to inner right, monogram. Some porosity and with minor flan faults and light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
